I volunteered to do some phone banking for Joe Biden—because I want Trump defeated—but failed to get the job done. I’m simply not someone who can call strangers on the phone. Then I discovered “vote tripling.”
Vote Tripling is 2 steps:
FIRST, ask a friend to commit to remind 3 friends to vote on elections day. Get the first names of the three friends.
SECOND, on election day, remind the friend to nudge his/her/their 3 friends to vote.
This is a proven tactic for raising voter turnout. The marginal voter is much more likely to vote if reminded on election day by a friend.
BONUS: On election day, I’m planning to hang out at my local polling place and ask exiting voters to remind THEIR friends to vote! My area is heavily Democratic.
